Pensacola Beach

Why Pensacola Beach?

If you’re looking for real estate where some of the most beautiful beaches are in the U.S., look no further than Pensacola Beach. Pensacola Beach has much to offer; from sugar-white sandy beaches to spectacular sunsets, it’s an incredible place to call home.

Located on Santa Rosa Island along the Florida Panhandle’s Emerald Coast, Pensacola Beach is known for its crystal clear waters with a laid-back beach town feel. The soft sand here has an incredible feeling between your toes when you walk on it. The sand is made of pure silica quartz that washed down from the Appalachian Mountains. Carried by currents over thousands of years down the Gulf of Mexico, the sand was deposited along the shoreline, giving Pensacola Beach the beautiful white sandy beach that it’s known for today.

Restaurants and Nightlife

Pensacola Beach offers some of the best seafood restaurants around. Seafood and the Emerald Coast go hand in hand, and with the vast array of places to choose from, you can’t go wrong. Flounders Chowder House is one of the best-known restaurants on the beach that offers an abundance of seafood, live music, and a gift shop.

You can also enjoy live music from some of Pensacola’s talented musicians.

Bamboo Willies is a local favorite that serves some of the best-frozen drinks on the beach, including the famous Bushwhacker that Pensacola Beach is known for. Enjoy live music while sipping your favorite cocktail, accompanied by a fantastic view of the Santa Rosa Sound.

History

Pensacola Beach is home to fascinating history, and a great place to learn all about it is Fort Pickens. Located in the Gulf Islands National Seashore, Fort Pickens is one of four military forts in the Pensacola area, and it’s a must-see attraction on Pensacola Beach. The fort was built to protect Pensacola Bay right before and during the Civil War and was completed in 1834. Upon its completion, it was known as the largest brick structure on the Gulf of Mexico.

In addition to exploring the fort itself, Fort Pickens offers several recreational activities, such as fishing, exploring trails, bird watching, camping, and more.
